Retta Jitner, founder and president of Pencils For Kids, has been an advertising executive since 1990. She is founder and president of Media Matters, Inc., a boutique advertising company specializing in luxury marketing. Her clients include Singapore Airlines, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Qantas Vacations, AsiaLuxe Holidays, Jetabout Asia, UC Irvine and Walker Zanger.
Retta believes in "giving back." Her philanthropic services include past President of Marymount High School Alumnae Association; Foster Parent to children with PlanUSA; cyclist in the California AIDS Rides, Alaska AIDS Vaccine Ride, and Best Buddies Hearst Castle Ride; and participant in the 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk.
A keen world traveler, she has a special love for Asia, which has become a second home. She makes frequent trips there for business and pleasure … and never leaves home without pencils.
Retta holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland. |
